Fort Myers Florida is incredible, I had the chance to discover Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Cabbage Island, Caya Costa Island along with fantastic restaurants like the Island Cow and Bubble Room. Captiva cruises took me to remote islands and the restaurant where Jimmy Buffet was inspired to write Cheeseburger in Paradise. And I learned everything and more I wanted to know about shells at Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum! There is also a new small museum called the Mound House which offers a wealth of information about the 'mound people' and has kayak tours from their incredible property. I can't wait to take my family back to this part of Florida, to top it off it has the best shelling in the world!
