For this weeks #LeadingLights event we will be discussing #75YearsOfCMI and how the role of professional leaders and managers has evolved with our distinguished guest Cindy Rampersaud.
Cindy Rampersaud is an Executive / NED with leadership experience in global and UK-based businesses within the education, media and third sectors, most recently as head of the BTEC and Apprenticeships business at Pearson Plc. She is currently a NED and member of the Audit & Risk Committee at Sage Housing; a Trustee and Chair of Audit & Risk at London Film School and a Trustee of The Speakers Trust.
A strong advocate of DEI Cindy has sponsored several initiatives including a global DEI taskforce at Pearson, acting as a Patron for the BAME Apprenticeship Awards and sponsoring and mentoring talent across a number of sectors. In 2018 she sponsored the work of the Commission for Sustainable Learning and in 2021 set up the Equality’s Forum to look at the impact of COVID and widening inequalities gap. She has been included on the EMPower Involve list for three consecutive years and in 2021 was recognised in Cranfield's Women to Watch list.
This will undoubtedly be an intriguing conversation, and we are interested in people's perspectives and lived experiences about how workplaces can become more inclusive for employees of all genders, gender identities and sexual orientations.
