Scumbling in under 35 seconds
What:
Example of Scumbling with Acrylic Paint on Canvas in under 35 Seconds
Wait, What?
These videos are the most simplified version of the technique edited down so students and teachers alike can use them as a reference or a guide to compare and contrast. Some of these videos may be best watched with other short videos. Like, if this is scumbling then what is dry brush? (Video Link Below)
Do these videos fully explain the history of the technique with real-life art examples? Heck no! Do I dilly dally around by first telling you about my day or what I ate for lunch? N-E-V-E-R.
But I am actually a human being that eats food and sometimes I do post about it. You could follow me on insta if you'd like.

Rough Transcript:
It’s such a cool word. Isn’t it? SCUMBLE. To scumble is to use opaque or semi-opaque paint applied in a circular motion using a stiff brush. This is typically used to visually soften, lighten, or dull areas of a painting.
The paint is loosely pulled in all directions, which leaves patches and specs of the underpainting in its wake.
The surface and the brush should be dry. No water, no medium should be added.
Paint consistency: medium or thick
Stokes: characteristic scratchy look to them
Who: Me
