Finalists Chris Fullam (DIT), John Fitzmaurice (The Mustard Seed), Ian McHale (Chapter One), Matt Logan (Chapter One) and Luke Ahearne (Campagne) cooked off at Cooks Academy under the intense scrutiny of judges Paul Kelly (Executive Pastry Chef at Merrion Hotel Dublin Ireland ), JP McMahon (Chef/Owner of Michelin Star Aniar Restaurant in Galway), Wade Murphy (Chef/Owner of award-winning Restaurant 1826 Adare), Mark Amand (Founder of premier supplier La Rousse Foods), Lorcan Cribbon (Euro-Toques veteran and now Executive Chef at Fallon & Byrne) and special guest judge Phil Howard (two star Michelin Chef and Owner of @The Square, London). The winner was announced at the final event, at which each young chef served up a course in a food market style festival, produced in association with Failte Ireland.
