1 NIA officer was injured after the central agency's (NIA) team was attacked in Bhupatinagar area of West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Saturday morning.
At around 5:30 am, reports say local surrounded the car of the NIA team and threw bricks at it, causing damage to the windshield. The attack happened when the agency was investigating a blast case that occurred at the residence of a Trinamool Congress leader in 2022.
According to reports earlier this morning, a team of NIA officials arrested two individuals related to the case. While they were returning to Kolkata, they faced the attack.
