Milk Federation on Tuesday hiked the prices of Nandini milk by Rs 2 across the state. The official notification regarding the price hike also mentioned the federation would give Rs 50 ml extra for the hike. The announcement came from KMF chairman Bhima Naik at a press conference convened in Bengaluru. The KMF had last hiked the prices of Nandini milk in July 2023, making this a second price hike in less than a year. Defending the price hike, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the increase in milk prices is proportionate to the volume of milk in the packet.
