Leica Summicron 90mm Review (the Leica Summicron 90mm f2 Pre-ASPH lens to be exact). The 90mm Summicron is a fantastic lens for dreamy looking 90mm Portrait images and is similar to perhaps an 85mm f1.4 lens for SLR camera systems. Is it the best Leica portrait lens? It depends if you want modern rendering or classic, and if you want super sharp or softer. It's certainly up there with the best! Due to the Leica 90mm f2 Pre-ASPH size it seems very under priced considering it produces photos equally nice to those taken with the expensive Leica Noctilux lens. If you want a Leica lens for headshots or Leica lens for portraits specifically it is worth checking this lens out on eBay. I've seen lenses listed for as little as £350 and you might find for even less if you get lucky!
