I decided for my Honor’s Project that I would like to focus on the different strategies that can be used in the classroom with students who have autism spectrum disorder. This semester, I took a class called Exceptional Children in which I needed to intern in a special education setting. I worked with my supervising teacher, a general education teacher, a math specialist, and a reading specialist to learn about the different strategies that are used daily in the classroom when working with students who have autism spectrum disorder.
