On Sunday July 26, 2020 my parents, Steve Patton and Lisa Patton spotted not one, but two great white sharks feeding near Cat Rock off of Anacapa Island. They took their boat, the Baja Midnight out to the Channel Islands for some free diving and spearfishing and ended up capturing iPhone video footage of both incidents. I had the opportunity to go down to the Channel Islands harbor where their boat is docked in order to sit down with my dad Steve and talk with him about the events surrounding the shark encounters that day.
