A86 aka "Paris super-périphérique" is the second ring road around Paris, France. It fully opened in 2011 at a cost of €2.2 billion.
It follows an irregular path around Paris with the distance from the city centre (Notre Dame) varying from 8–16 kilometres (5.0–9.9 mi). . The tunnel is limited to a height of 2.0 m (6 ft 7 in) and commercial vehicles are prohibited as a result.

If you are travelling by car from Central France to Calais, Paris was always a nightmare of traffic jams. Now you just speed through and barely notice Paris on route to the coast.
