Yay!!! Hello and welcome to another action packed Fun Fair Vlog......
This evening we took a mid week visit over to Ladybrook Place Recreation Ground in Mansfield Nottinghamshire for a Proctor's Fun Fair set around a lovely village green well kind of,it was a field haha anyway I thought twice about doing a Vlog from here basically because it was so small but WOW!! I'm so glad we did. It just goes to show you don't need big grounds to have a good time these small fairs can be just as much fun especially if you are surrounded by great company and I hope we show this throughout the Vlog.
For this one I'm joined with sidekick Shane,Coaster Dan and his Daughter Grace for a Vlog I only thought would be around 20 minutes long but we had such a fun time the banter and laughter just kept flowing meaning the Vlog is longer than expected but hopefully that is'nt a bad thing. Special thank you to the Proctor's Family for making us very welcome along with Ashley Wood's and George Burrow's two great showmen with amazing rides. Thanks also to their daughters who appeared throughout the Vlog and was great sports they are a credit to your families.
Back to the Vlog and the line up which was really good for a small Fun Fair our main draw was Proctor's Fast and Furious Waltzer which I was itching to get back on since not riding since 2019 due to the pandemic and the family unable to get out due to restrictions. This ride didn't let me down you will see in the Vlog and is a fine example of a Jackson Waltzer which today are quiet rare. Along with that it was great to get back on Proctor's Dodgems I got a right kicking on these and was the highlight of the evening. A true old school Dodgem Track thats probably faster than the more modern Dodgems we see on the circuit.We also took rides on George Burrow's Crazy Hopper Frogs ride which always gives a different cycle everytime I ride it and Ashley Wood's awesome Miami. There was also a Fun House and Juvelines so plenty on offer for families and adults. We also had a great amount of Banter at the Food establishment including something that really tickled me haha watch and find out.
The Fun Fair is on until Saturday 18th June 2021 so if you are in the area please go and give them some support. Proctor's travel throughout the Midlands so check out the link below for future events coming up. Prices for the rides was between £2 and £3 with £1 admission and free parking.
Like I said at the start don't dismiss these smaller Fun Fairs you will have just as much FUN!!!!
