Saturday 7th saw me visit the West Somerset Railway, for their Mixed Traction Weekend for the first time. Heavy rain and storms were forecast, but on the day the weather was far from it (apart from the first hour as seen), with lots of warm weather and sun shine! I followed the line from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, stopping off at line side locations and stations along the route.
The event saw no less than 6 diesel and 1 steam loco in action. Featuring many tones and lots of trashing and clag!
The locos in action were...
DIESEL
-Class 52 'Western' No. D1010 'Western Campaigner'
-Class 52 'Western' No. D1015 'Western Champion' (Visiting)
-Class 42 'Warship' No. D832 'Onslaught'
-Class 42 'Warship' No. D821 'Greyhound' (Visiting)
-Class 35 'Hymek' No. D7017
-Class 14 No. D9526
STEAM

Will be sure to visit the event again in the future! Hope you enjoy!
