FATES OF VITREOUS:
Before Birth After Birth
• Primary Vitreous → Disappears (retention → PHPV)
• Secondary Vitreous → Normal
• Tertiary Vitreous → Zonules
D/D of PHPV from RB:
PHPV:
• Always U/L
• Only seen in small eye (microphthalmos)
