One of the highlights of the region is an expedition in rafting boat along the wildest, uninhabited part of the island Moskenes. The way leads to the southern end of the island, and on the way the travellers will cross the famous and dangerous current and whirlpools of Moskstraumen. The culminating point of the trip is the visit to the Refsvika cave, hidden on the "Outer side" of the Lofoten. Cave paintings representing human figures found there have been dated as early as 2-1000 B.C. On the way back the visitors will pass by the locations of bird colonies including sea eagles and sometimes also seals. Must see!
