THE WORLD STANDS STILL FOR IRELAND
Today, the whole world turns GREEN FOR IRELAND. From east to west, north to south, across the globe, all the great nations celebrate St. Patrick’sDay with the people of Ireland, the country’s Patron Saint and their National Day.
Suffice it to say, that the island of Ireland and her people are the most respected in the whole wide world. This simple but wonderfully acknowledged gesture proves it all. No nation in the world enjoys such love, appreciation and acknowledgement where its people and their national colour will be lit up on landmarks in celebration, support and solidarity by peoples of all races. I stand to be proved otherwise.
No nation in the world lights up the blue/red colours for the United States or the blue/red colours for the UK as influencing as they are. So, Ireland as a country and the Irish as a people are seen by the whole world as a people of love, a people to be loved; and a people they love. The Irish people must be proud of themselves and appreciate that the Lord is good to them amongst all the nations of the world.
In the beginning, God created a green country and named it IRELAND and St. Patrick, is her Patron Saint.
The world parades for the Irish in Ireland and the world parades for the Irish around the world in many countries and their major cities. A GREAT HONOUR. The world also travels to Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish in their homeland. Annually, New York evidently has the largest parade. What manner of honour would any nation wish for in this age and time.
The faithful whose Baptismal or Confirmation names are Patrick also celebrate their Patron Saint today and by Divine Providence celebrate with Ireland and her people.
Even in this day’s cloudy and wintery cold weather in Spring (the will of God) in Dublin and its environs, we all damn the weather to celebrate this annual national, cultural and church event, ST. PATRICK’S FEAST DAY and FESTIVAL, March 17th.
Has anyone observed, or is it only me…..that the Irish people are the only people that the world stands still for on St. Patrick’s Feast Day.
NIGERIA, for the first time today amongst African nations, joined the celebration by lighting the Iconic Abuja Gate GREEN in solidarity with the Irish people.
The whole world turns GREEN FOR IRELAND…..no nation, I mean no nation, enjoys such love and solidarity !!!
