A film of Scotlands National poets final resting place. I visited St Michaels church and graveyard. On entering the church I was met by a lady named Anna I asked to see around the church. Inside I found it the most beautiful church, the stained glass windows were some of the nicest I had seen and were beautiful with the light coming through them. It is well worth a visit .I then visited Robert Burns Mausoleum and found it to be in a terrible state of disrepair. There were visitors there as well with some making coments about how run it was down, with peices of the building virtualy falling from it. To think this is the final resting place of Scotlands national Bard ant to see the Mausoleum like that was an embararrasment standing there. .Surely his final resting place should not have been allowed to become so run down.I wonder what all visitors think of this. In Literary walk Central Park New York sits a statue of Robert Burns with a plaque beside his statue both are imaculate. The Burns statue in the town centre is covered with grime and green mould. Dumfries is crying out for visitors. Surely these issues should be addressed as soon as possible.
