(2 Aug 2018) Hundreds of members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan gathered outside the Karachi office of Pakistan's election oversight body to protest against the results of the recently concluded general election on Thursday.
The protesters demanded the resignation of the chief election commissioner as well as raising concerns regarding the transparency of the election.
MQM-Pakistan leader Faisal Subzwari said that the party's polling agents were evicted from polling stations while the results were withheld for 48 to 72 hours.
MQM-Pakistan won six seats in the National Assembly while returning sixteen successful candidates in the Sindh Assembly.
