The World Pilot Gig Championships are held annually on the Isles of Scilly. We visited the St Mary's Gig Club to meet some of the crew preparing for the championships, to hear about the sport and have a go ourselves at pilot gig rowing.
The 2015 World Pilot Rowing Championships will be held in the Isles of Scilly on 1st-3rd May 2015.
Thanks to the Tregarthen's Hotel for organising access and to the folk of St Mary's Gig Club for chatting with us and taking us out to see what it's all about.
