Forever identified with the famed Harlem Globetrotters as the recording they played during pre-game warm-up, this unusual arrangement of the 1925 tune reached the national top-10 in January 1949 and featured “Brother Bones” Freeman Davis playing his percussive ‘knuckle bones’ accompanied by Herb Kern on the Novachord.
