In this scene, Father Laforgue (Lothaire Bluteau), his young French accomplice Daniel (Aden Young) and a party of Algonquin led by Chomina (August Schellenberg) are blessed by a Jesuit priest before they set off by canoe. This is where the hazardous journey begins.
