Your first track car could be a cheap option including a front wheel drive runabout like a Hyundai Excel, Honda Civic or a rear wheel drive car like a Toyota 86 or Mazda MX-5 or RX-8. If you choose to modify your first track car, you could go to the track with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, Subaru WRX STI, Holden Commodore, Toyotas GR Yaris, BMW M series or a Honda Type-R. We also look at expensive and dedicated race car platforms such as the Nissan R35 GTR, Lamborghini and Honda NSX.
