Oct. 8 on The Story: Last week, we fact-checked attack ads against both the Democratic and Republican candidates for Washington's 3rd Congressional District, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Joe Kent. This week, we're heading to another highly-competitive U.S. House district in our area, Oregon's 3rd Congressional District. In 2022, Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer narrowly won the seat against her Democratic opponent. But this year she faces a challenge from someone she's lost against before, former state lawmaker Janelle Bynum. With the political stakes high, attack ads have been flying in this race. We'll start by fact-checking one against Bynum.
