Part of plastic surgery training is learning where to make the incisions, what direction to make the incision, and how to put the moon back together. As well, we also learn how to manage the scar postoperatively. Despite that extremity incisions and scars can be very challenging. They often are hypertrophic or stretch and can be difficult to manage. In brachioplasty surgery it’s very important to place the scar in a location that won’t show with the patient’s arm at their side or up in the air waving or pointing. This car has been designed to do just that . The scar will show when you look at it but of course it’s only three months out and has still some maturing to do. My patient was thrilled with the final results, which is hard to achieve with some of the more recent heating techniques or liposuction techniques in skin. That’s more mature and doesn’t have very good elasticity. @DocMoliver #scarhealing #scar #plasticsurgeryresults #plasticsurgeon #docmoliver #saggyskin
