Removing the impeller on my 1994 SL 750. Without special tools. 
To properly remove the impeller you need to buy a impeller key (link below) to fit the splines of prop. By removing the driveshaft and holding it horizontally in a vice I was able to then use a makeshift socket on the other end of the bearing to spin free the impeller.
