I have owned my house for about six years now and I love the backyard deck it came with. However, because I live in the pacific northwest, we get a lot of moisture up here which brings with it mold, mildew and algae growth. I have learned a way to naturally, safely and easily remove algae from my deck using white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. Simply add one cup of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water into a pressurized container. Spray and saturate your deck and let the solution soak in for several minutes. Then simply use a medium course broom to gently but firmly scrub the algae from your decking.
