Gears of War is a video game franchise created by Epic Games, developed and managed by The Coalition, and owned and published by Microsoft Studios. The series focuses on the conflict between humanity, the subterranean reptilian hominids known as the Locust Horde, and their mutated counterparts, the Lambent & the Swarm. The franchise consists of five third-person shooter video games, which has also been supplemented by a comic book series and five novels.
Gears 5 is a sequel to Gears of War 4 that is scheduled to be released in 2019.
Unlike its predecessor, Gears 5 focuses on Kait Diaz, the daughter of Reyna Diaz, who was an Outsider of Locust decent. As Kait, you must journey across planet Sera to uncover the origins of the Locust and fight with your squad to protect what’s left. Humanity on Sera is decreasing and the reliance on technology is causing weakness to the COG as enemies combine to wipe out all survivors.
Gears 5 is like no other in the franchise as you travel across different terrains, such as skimming across glaciers, sailing over deserts and descending into sunken ruins to discover the largest and most diverse Gears world ever created.
