Evgenia Chamilou is the Youth Delegate of Cyprus to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. The 2020 compulsory project was under the theme of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on youth and related issues to the Congress.

The "Youth Delegates" project is part of the Congress initiative "Rejuvenating Politics" which, since 2014, aims to promote the participation of young people in public life and in the decision-making process at the local and regional level.
Being a youth delegate for a year is a unique opportunity to gain international experience, become a part of a diverse group of young activists, network and make an impact by stimulating the debates from a youth perspective thereby highlighting and strengthening the Congress’ commitment to youth empowerment.
