The Paris conference on Bosnia should decide on a new mission for international organizations trying to help with implementation of the Dayton peace accords, Bosnian Prime Minister Hasan Muratovic said in Sarajevo on Wednesday (13/11), prior to his departure for Paris.
The conference is scheduled to adopt a two-year plan to consolidate the peace process by installing joint government institutions in a country where ethnic hatred and suspicion still runs high.
A powerful illustration of those tensions came on Tuesday (12/11) when Bosnian Serbs and Muslims traded fire around the village of Gajevi in northeastern Bosnia, as Muslim refugees tried to return to their homes.
