This brief video quickly demonstrates and explains the PROPER way to jump-start your dead or dying motorcycle battery using an external battery. Please note that while jump-starting a dead motorcycle battery can get you out of a jam, it should only be used when other options such as a battery tender, float charger, slow-charger, etc are unavailable. Bump-starting a dead motorcycle (getting it up to speed and then "popping" the clutch) is also preferable to this method as there is less risk to the motorcycle's electrical system, though many new riders may feel uncomfortable with bump-starting because there is a potential to drop your bike.
