Established in 1906, the legendary Targa Florio is celebrated as one of the most exciting and romantic endurance sports car races in the world. Held annually through 1977 in the picturesque region of Sicily, the Targa Florio's original course stretched over 92 miles through breathtaking mountain roads and the streets of charming Italian villages. The 1962 race saw a competitive field chock-full of Alfa Romeos, Porsches, Lancias, Ferraris, and Maseratis, with this very special car, chassis 1883 GT, the only California Spider to ever compete, going on to achieve an impressive podium class finish.
Watch as we return 1883 GT to Sicily to once again navigate the breathtaking course that fierce competitors battled upon for so many years. The car, now returned to its original livery worn during the ’62 race, feels undeniably "at home."
