Chippewa Falls, WI. Birthplace of Leinenkugel's beer, the Cray supercomputer, and me! In town for a mini-family reunion before heading north to hike on the Ice Age Trail.
Doing some hiking in Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls, WI. Beautiful park with a mini-zoo, dam, and Norwegian settlement. Just down the road is the Leinenkugel brewery!
After exploring for a bit, we hike a bit of the Glen Loch Trail along Duncan Creek. This is not on AllTrails or my other mapping apps so I don't know where it goes or how long, but there seem to be a bunch of trails, and they are blazed. Locals seems to know where they go.
After the hike, we stop in at the Leinie Lodge (of course)!

I was too little to remember living here, but no matter what state we lived in, every year would visit grandparents here in Chippewa and Eau Claire, so this area has always felt like "home".
