A nice quiet family beach, First Encounter Beach, has warm water and like most bay beaches on Cape Cod, it is very gentle. When the tide goes out of this Eastham Beach, it is perfect for tide pooling and walking. An ice cream truck goes by the beach several times a day so bring some money to enjoy a cool treat on a hot day. There is a bathhouse and a large parking lot.
