A general Alert went out on the Central Bosnian town of Visoko on
Monday (12/6) as Canadian Peacekeepers reported Bosnian Government
forces in the area. The orange "medium alert" flag was raised and
Canadian Military Operator, Captain Lafonge, put the peacekeepers
on standby: "The troops are moving south and increasing their
artillery fire. It looks like an offensive as we think the BIH
(Bosnian Government Army) is moving towards Bajton (road linking
central Bosnia and Sarajevo). There is no traffic on the streets
and civilians have barricaded themselves inside their homes," he
said. Meanwhile, north of the Bosnian town of Mostar, an UNPROFOR
armoured personnel carrier (APC) was hit by a shell fired from
Bosnian-Serb positions. Several soldiers from its Spanish crew
were wounded.
