Beneath the surface of the Thames is a mass of plastic waste, from wet wipes to microscopic clothes fibres. These microplastics have been found inside seals, porpoises, whales and fish, as well as in the stomach of almost every crab collected by Museum scientist Alex McGoran. Alex shares her finding with change maker Melati Wijsen who founded Bali’s campaign Bye Bye Plastic Bags.
