Comparing tonal qualities of different humbuckers:
490R (Neck Pickup of 2008 Gibson SG Standard)
57 Classic (Neck Pickup of 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro)
Seymour Duncan Seth Lover (Neck Pickup of Homemade Telecaster)
498T (Bridge Pickup of 2008 Gibson SG Standard)
BurstBucker 3 (Bridge Pickup of 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro)
All guitars tone/volume maxed. Fender Pro Junior (Volume 3, Tone 6.5) recorded with a Zoom H4n recorder. Sorry the amp sounds crappy, its barely on bc its late and this demo was originally for my own uses. I am going to replace the pickups in the SG and wanted to compare them with some of my other guitars.
My personal opinion...I dont like the SG pickups (they sound muddy) and as you can tell the BurstBucker is a lot hotter than the 498T. Considering replacing the SG's stock pickups with a Seth Lover in the neck and a BurstBucker (3?) in the bridge and doing the Jimmy Page wiring with coil taps, phase reversal and serial/parallel!
