Hey guys! In this video, I review the Cartier Panthère watch in stainless steel.

The Cartier Panthère was first introduced in 1983 to double as jewelry. It was named the Panther, the maison’s emblematic animal because of its ultra-flexible bracelet that mirrors the movements of a panther.

The watch was actually released as a men’s watch. It was worn by actors and musicians like Pierce Brosnan, Charlie Sheen and Keith Richards in the 80s. The watch really reached notoriety in the 90’s, when it-girls like Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna were photographed wearing it.

The initial version of the watch was actually discontinued in 2004. But Cartier decided to rerelease it in 2017 as interest in the watch was growing. And the Maison hasn’t looked back since.

The watch typically comes in 2 sizes small and medium. Unless, you're looking to get a solid gold one, then there is a mini size available.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 90S AND TODAY:
Cosmetically, the current version is identical to the original. They both have a square case, rounded corners, and that famous understated ’80s-glam link bracelet. So the only tweaks were really performance-driven, like a strengthened bracelet and enhanced waterproofing.
