In this video, I shoot the fine Portuguese Vergueiro rifle. This rifle was a development of the Gew 88, Mannlicher M93 and Gew 98. Although these rifles are marked for the 6.5 Vergueiro cartridge, many of these guns were rechambered for 7.92x57 Mauser in 1939. This particular rifle was manufactured by DWM in Germany somewhere between 1904 and 1908. These saw service during WW1, WW2 and later in Portuguese colonial wars. Thanks for watching!
