Zion Lutheran Church (where services are still given in German) in downtown Baltimore MD had a steam boiler heating their complex of buildings until the 1950s when it failed. A hook-up to the district steam grid was installed. It was promised then that there would be no maintenance or water hammer.
Lies. All lies.
For over 50 years, it hammered. Sermons were regularly interupted until the noise ceased. Until All Steamed Up fixed it.
