The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company ferry terminal in Douglas is large and spacious and resembles a small regional airport and offers passengers lounge seating, shop and coffee outlet.
There are several tourist information areas within the terminal showing the local population are obviously very proud of their little island, and quite rightly so! Its beautiful! An excellent choice of destination for a staycation.
All facilities within the ferry terminal are on a single level however, for those foot passengers using the ferry Ben My Chree which operates to Heysham, they will transit an elevated walkway to reach the berth/terminal. There are however elevators at either end if you do not wish to use the stairs. Alternatively, if you do have mobility issues you may use the courtesy shuttle bus which can be provided by the ferry operator.
A baggage reclaim area, just like at an airport, is available for those passengers to collect large luggage which is not required during sailing and is stowed on the vehicle deck during the crossing.
