MADRAS SAMBAR!!!

Hello foodies!!!
Today I am sharing a Madras Sambar recipe with you. The simple yet super tasty Madras Sambar is an amazing recipe which can be made in no time. Please follow the measurements below and enjoy the authentic madras Sambar.

Ingredients:
•Tovar Dal- 1/2 Cup (soaked and cooked with 1.5 cups Water)

Sambar Paste:
•1 tbsp Oil
•1 tsp Urad dal
•1 pinch Fenugreek
•1 tbsp Chana dal
•1/2 tsp Cumin
•2-3 Dry Chilies
•1.1/4 tbsp Coriander seeds
•1/4 cup Fresh Coconut

Veggies For Sambar:
•1/2 cup Thick Onion slices
•1/4 cup Carrot choppings
•2 tbsp Radish choppings
•1 Tomato cubes
•2-3 Drumstick pieces
•2 French beans
•1 Brinjal
•2 Green Chilies
•1 Okra(optional)
•1.5 cups Water

For Sambar making:
•2 tbsp Oil
•1 tsp Mustard
•1/2 tsp Cumin
•2 pinches Hing
•2 Dry Chilies
•2 sprigs Curry Leaves
•6-8 Crushed Garlic pods
•250 ml Tamarind extract (extracted from 50gms Tamarind)
•Salt
•1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
•1/4 tsp Turmeric
•2 tbsp Jaggery
•1 litre Water
•Coriander choppings
