In this video I take a look at the SOTABeams bandpass filter and then put it to the test using a cheap Chinese radio that I know is susceptible to pager intermod issues and therefore is not usable on the 2-meter band as a result of this unless the signals are strong such as those from local stations and repeaters which can get over the pager noise.
The antenna used was my flowerpot antenna fed with mainly RG213 to reduce losses as much as possible
The idea of this in most uses is to screw it inline with a handheld radio's rubber duck antenna and the radio itself, and it can potentially be the difference between getting the contact you want or not
