This week’s film is an interesting one, or rather, it’s the kind I’m most excited about making. Alex Pole, a blacksmith and author, (links below), recently sent me two packets of metal scraps, one is a by-products from his craft, the other is something a bit more unusual, to incorporate into my clay to fire and test. There’s .925 sterling silver and fishhooks he's salvaged from the Arctic that contain iron and brass. This is just the first step, so I hope you'll subscribe and come back once I've finally fired these experimental bowls!
What will they look like?
