During an aerial survey of the Plettenberg Bay coastline on Wednesday - from Robberg to Keurboomstrand - 12 Great White Sharks were clearly visible.

Bitou Environmental Management and Plett Great White Shark Research noted ‘an incredibly healthy ecosystem’.

Large and small fish, several species of rays, dolphins and sharks were sighted. They discovered an unusually high number of Great Whites in the area for the Spring season.

The public are requested to only swim in designated areas while lifeguards are on duty.
