A quick look at the current Which recomendations (Jan 2021) listThompson and Morgan incredicompost as a good compost to buy although it does contain some peat. Sainsbury Peat free did very well in trials for container growing but Aldi or Lidl compost was not tested. Westland John Innes for seed and young plants scored very poorly so that is one to avoid.
