PTC Mathcad Prime is very friendly when it comes to using programming constructs for your calculations.
Using the predefined programming structures, you’ll feel how your work gets easier and faster.
Using units for the attached values is another key aspect of calculating in Mathcad.
In this video, we create a small program that an engineer could apply to test values for future projects: from a selection (combo box) of material strength options, check for PASS/FAIL. The value of the selected option must be within a 2% margin of the limits of the preferable Material Strength.
To exemplify our points, we use some of the available program operators.
Note that a good practice is to use the “return” operator – for a clear distinction on what we display as a result.
