After the lavender is dried, the buds can be removed from their stems. The buds can then be used for either fragrant sachets or culinary, depending on the variety of lavender.
Angustifolia, also known as English Lavender, buds can be used for both purposes. While Lavandin, also known as French Lavender, buds are best used for sachets, due to their high essential oil content. They are usually too bitter for culinary use.
Some ways to incorporate culinary lavender into your kitchen:
🫖 Make tea
🍪 Use it in cookie or bread recipes
🍸 Make simple syrup
