A civil servant who was allegedly told to "slit your throat" by Sir Gavin Williamson when he was defence secretary has made a formal complaint to the Parliamentary watchdog.

The decision follows a complaint made to the watchdog by the former chief whip Wendy Morton over claims Williamson sent her bullying texts.
