Hi everyone and welcome back,

In today's video, we will be replacing the thermal pads on the Asus ROG Strix RTX 3090 OC Edition.
Please keep in mind that:

OPENING YOUR GPU MIGHT VOID THE WARRANTY (DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE)
POTENTIALLY YOU CAN DAMAGE COMPONENTS AND COMPROMISE THE FUNCTIONALITIES OF YOUR GPU
DON’T DO THIS IF YOU’RE NOT SURE HOW TO DO IT AND WHAT YOU’RE DOING
I WON’T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU MIGHT CAUSE TO YOUR GPU
IF YOU HAVE TEMPERATURE ISSUES AND YOU DON’T WANT TO COMPROMISE THE WARRANTY CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER INSTEAD

Here are some details about the thermal pads used:

On the PCB

On the memory modules the Gelid Ultimate 2.0mm
For the VRMs - the right line if you are front facing the PCB I’ve used the Gelid Extreme 2.5mm
For the MOSFETs - next to the mentioned VRMs the Gelid Ultimate 1.5mm
For the MOSFETs on the other side the Gelid Ultimate 1mm


For the backplate, I’ve used:

On the memory modules the Gelid Ultimate 2.0mm
For the backside of the VRMs the Gelid Ultimate 0.5mm
And the Gelid Extreme 2.5mm for the backside of the power stages


So, you will need

1 package of Gelid Ultimate 0.5mm
1 package of Gelid Ultimate 1.0mm
1 package of Gelid Ultimate 1.5mm
2 packages (90x50mm) of Gelid Ultimate 2.0mm
1 package of Gelid Extreme 2.5mm
