EDIT: holy cow this video has blown up, no idea why. Please watch the whole clip and the description below before commenting, and read up on the Zipper Merge law here in MN.
This happened back in September 2013 (and I'm only uploading it due to a few Reddit/roadcam requests).
Traffic lanes were slowly being merged from 3 lanes, down to 2, then 1 due to road construction on westbound I-494 approaching the Wakota Bridge in South Saint Paul. The driver of the white Ford SUV (unaware that the 'Zipper Method' in construction zones has been used for quite awhile here in MN) didn't like the fact that people were using the other lane to get in front.
I gave the other driver plenty of opportunities to either pick the right or middle lane. Yes- in hindsight, this could have been avoided. After the collision (this was not the video I gave the State Patrol- they have the raw files) the other driver told the Trooper that she didn't know what to do in a construction zone when lanes are closed/merging and that I intentionally hit her truck. The State Patrol and my insurance company thought otherwise and she was found 100% at fault.
I put 'road rage' in the title only because after I honked once (short blast of the horn) after she started swerving the driver and her occupants gave me the finger- which unfortunately can't be seen in the video.
