Sorry for the late video. In this video I cover the story of Margaret Keane, artists responsible for the " big eyed waif" paintings. In the sixties and seventies these depictions of big teary eyed children became so popular that they practically became a cultural phenomena earning the artist unparalleled fame and popularity, the only problem was that it wasn't Margaret but her husband Walter who was reaping all the benefits, until Margaret, fed up with the constant lies and abuse, decided to take her husband to court. Margaret's story, not to mention the court case, became so popular that in 2014 Director Tim Burton decided to make a film about Margaret's life, but how accurate is the film? Watch the video to find out.
